Düsseldorf, April 06, 2017
PricewaterhouseCoopers Legal AG Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft (PwC Legal) has provided comprehensive advice to Evangelische Bank eG (Evangelische Bank), a church-based credit cooperative with registered office in Kassel, on a majority sub-participation in a loan portfolio in Austria. PwC Legal supported Evangelische Bank, in particular, in the legal due diligence, the assessment of state guarantees under EU state aid law and the structuring and drafting of the sub-participation agreement. The total loan portfolio amounts to ca. € 224 million as of December 30, 2016.
Evangelische Bank was created retroactively as of January 1, 2014 as a result of the merger of Evangelische Kreditgenossenschaft (EKK) and Evangelische Darlehnsgenossenschaft (EDG) in summer 2014.
