PwC and Freshfields jointly advise MEC Group (being a part of Messer Group) on the sale of MEC’s Castolin Eutectic business

An interdisciplinary team of PricewaterhouseCoopers Legal AG Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft (PwC Legal) and PricewaterhouseCoopers GmbH Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft (PwC), together with Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, has advised MEC Group, that is part of the Messer Group, on the sale of MEC’s Castolin Eutectic business. Prior to and accompanying the sale, PwC and PwC Legal structured the carve-out of the Castolin Eutectic business from the MEC Group in more than thirty countries and provided tax and corporate law advice. The buyer is the private equity firm Paragon Partners.
Castolin Eutectic, based in Kriftel, Germany, provides the full range of consumables, equipment and services in welding, brazing and coating technologies to more than 40,000 customers worldwide.
