PwC supports ROOF and Invision
Düsseldorf, 28th April 2021
A multidisciplinary team from PricewaterhouseCoopers Legal AG Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft (PwC Legal) and PricewaterhouseCoopers GmbH Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft (PwC Germany) under the lead of Lars Benger has provided comprehensive legal and tax advice to Invision and ROOF GmbH (“ROOF“) on the formation of a leading European professional football player advisory agency.
With its investment in arena11 sports group GmbH (“arena11“) Invision laid the foundation for the successful consolidation of the internationally active advisory agencies. After the successful merger with Coaches & More GmbH, Spielerrat GmbH also joined the business. As of now, the advisors provide their services under a common ROOF.
Lars Benger und his team have provided comprehensive legal advice to Invision and ROOF in relation to their consolidation efforts. They have supported Invision in connection with these mergers and in establishing the new corporate structure of ROOF. Corresponding tax advice has been provided by Björn Viebrock and his team.
Invision’s and ROOF’s long-term objective is to continue the targeted internationalization as well as the further development and dedicated support of players and coaches, both domestically and internationally. Invision will actively assist with know-how and additional capital in relation to further strategic partnerships and strategically relevant add-on opportunities.
ROOF – “Representatives of Outstanding Footballers” – is one of the biggest professional football players agencies in Europe. It was formed by the mergers of three leading German consulting agencies. The interdisciplinary team of lawyers, business economists, PR experts and former professional football players supports over one hundred professional football players and coaches across all major European leagues, advising on career development, contract negotiations as well as support in transfer situations. ROOF strives to make its clients better on and off the field and sees social responsibility as a key priority, which is why it has joined the philanthropy movement Common Goal.
Invision is a leading investor focused on mid-sized companies headquartered in German speaking regions. Since its foundation in 1997, Invision invested over EUR 800 million in over 60 companies. Invision partners with entrepreneurs, managers and family shareholders. Invision will support ROOF in its continued national and international growth.
