PwC Legal advises SPRIND on investment in Cellbricks

A team of PricewaterhouseCoopers Legal AG Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft (PwC Legal) has provided legal advice to the Federal Agency for Disruptive Innovation (SPRIND) in connection with its participation in the Series Seed financing round of Cellbricks GmbH (Cellbricks).
Cellbricks has raised €7 million in a financing round led by Silicon Roundabout Ventures, with participation from SPRIND, ACT Venture Partners and additional investors. €3 million further non-dilutive funding is underway. Cellbricks is a tissue engineering company developing biofabricated human tissue implants for applications in regenerative medicine. The financing is intended to support the company’s further technological and operational development.
SPRIND, the Federal Agency for Disruptive Innovation, was established in 2019 with its registered office in Leipzig. Its sole shareholder is the Federal Republic of Germany, represented by the Federal Ministry for Research, Technology and Space (BMFTR). SPRIND is funded from the federal budget. SPRIND’s Managing Directors are Rafael Laguna de la Vera and Berit Dannenberg.
