Awarded: PwC Legal Germany in the IFLR1000 rankings

In the latest IFLR1000 rankings for 2027, PwC Legal Germany’s Financial Services Regulatory team has risen from Tier 3 to Tier 2, placing it ahead of a number of other established German and international commercial law firms. In addition, Dr Michael Huertas has been individually awarded as “Highly Regarded” in the Financial Services Regulatory sector in Germany. With the practice group’s upgrade and the individual recognition of Dr Huertas’s regulatory advisory practice, PwC Legal has thus achieved two distinctions.
The international guide IFLR1000 is one of the leading law firm directories, with a particular focus on financial and corporate law. Unlike broader rankings, IFLR1000 concentrates on complex financial market mandates and assesses the quality of legal advice based on the analysis of transactions, client feedback and market information. As part of the assessment process, law firms are categorised into so-called tiers and outstanding lawyers are recognised individually. IFLR1000 thus provides a well-founded assessment of law firms and legal advisers across numerous jurisdictions worldwide.
This independent recognition is particularly relevant for banks, insurance companies, asset managers, investment firms, payment service providers and other financial market players. It demonstrates that our Financial Services Regulatory practice is recognised as being in direct competition with leading international commercial law firms.
