PwC Legal advises Kõu Mobility Group on its investment in Ampler
Stuttgart/Berlin, 7th March 2023
PricewaterhouseCoopers Legal AG Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft (PwC Legal) advised Kõu Mobility Group on the cross-border closure and execution of an investment agreement and a share-swap agreement that makes Kõu Mobility Group the new majority shareholder of Ampler Bikes OÜ (Ampler). In the course of such joining forces, the anchor investor High Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF) and additional investors also invested within a seven-figure extended Series A-financing round in the group with the option of further investors joining in a second closing.
Ampler becomes one of the business units in Kõu Mobility Group alongside Comodule, Äike and Tuul, and continues to focus on developing, producing and selling light electric bicycles. Ampler shares the vision and values of the group, and all parties see it as a perfect opportunity to join forces to move towards ambitious targets and set the trends in the fast-growing micromobility industry.
HTGF finances tech start-ups with growth potential and has supported over 690 start-ups since 2005. With the launch of its fourth fund, HTGF now has over 1.3 billion euros under management. HTGF’s focus is on high-tech start-ups in the fields of digital tech, industrial tech, life sciences, chemistry and related business areas.
Advisors to Kõu Mobility Group
Dr. Minkus Fischer, Gerhard Wacker (both co-lead), Oscar Silcher, Alexander Schmidt (all Corporate/M&A), Gerung von Hoff, Melanie Schwaderer (all merger control)
