PwC Legal advises Metalogalva on the acquisition of the lighting business from Europoles

Frankfurt/Stuttgart, 26th January 2021

PricewaterhouseCoopers Legal AG Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft (PwC Legal) advised the Portuguese company Metalogalva – Irmãos Silvas, S.A. (Metalogalva) on the acquisition of the lighting business from the insolvent German Europoles GmbH & Co. KG and Eurocoatings GmbH (together: Europoles). The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price. PwC Legal has accompanied the client through the whole German legal process from the due diligence up to signing / closing of the transaction.

Founded in 1971, Metalogalva is the oldest VigentGroup company and the national leader in its main activity, the field of steel engineering and protection. In addition, it is also one of the main European players in the production of public lighting columns and other connected structures areas, such as energy transport, renewables, telecommunications, highways, railways, and hot dip galvanizing.
