PwC advises DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga GmbH on the further expansion of Sportech Solutions as a joint venture with deltatre
Nuremberg/Berlin, 2nd December 2020
A multidisciplinary team from the PwC/PwC Legal network has provided comprehensive legal advice to DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga GmbH (DFL) on the expansion and structuring of the joint venture Sportec Solutions with the Deltatre Group Ltd. (deltatre).
As part of the structuring, Sportec Solutions GmbH, in which DFL held 75% of the shares and deltatre held 25% via deltatre AG, will be merged with deltatre AG in order to develop the future Sportec Solutions AG into a leading global sports technology and game data provider.
Sportec Solutions GmbH was founded in 2016 by DFL and deltatre as a joint venture. Since the 2017/2018 season, the company, which focuses on match data and sports technology, has been responsible for the collection, storage, quality assurance and delivery of official match data of the German Football League as well as other sports technology solutions.
