PwC Legal Düsseldorf appoints new private equity experts
Düsseldorf, December 2nd 2019.
PricewaterhouseCoopers Legal AG Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft (PwC Legal) is continuing the expansion of its Corporate/M&A practice group. Private equity expert Lars Benger is joining the team on December 1st 2019 as a Partner in the Düsseldorf office.
Lars Benger, lawyer, is joining PwC Legal from the Hogan Lovells practice in Düsseldorf, where he had been a partner since 2012. He began his career in 2002 at Clifford Chance, where he worked in Düsseldorf, London and Frankfurt am Main, initially as an Associate and then as a Counsel. He has extensive experience in advising international financial investors.
Dr Johannes Lau and Rebecca Lappeßen are moving to PwC Legal along with Lars Benger. They will both be starting on February 1st 2020; Johannes Lau as a Senior Manager and Rebecca Lappeßen as a Senior Associate. PwC Legal will also be making further appointments to the Corporate/M&A practice group.
Dr Steffen Schniepp, Managing Partner at PwC Legal, commented on the appointments: “We are delighted to be gaining in Lars Benger a lawyer who is well-known to the market, and who brings over 15 years of experience to strengthen our private equity practice. With Johannes Lau, Rebecca Lappeßen and other new appointments we will also be driving our strategic expansion.”
Lars Benger and his team mainly advise financial investors – an area where PwC Legal wants to see further strategic growth. In autumn 2018 Daniel Windsheimer, an experienced tax Partner with a similar focus, joined PwC with his team.
