Mariya Atanasova specialises in banking and capital markets law as well as financial services compliance. A key area of her practice equally focuses on corporate governance matters. Mariya focuses on assisting management boards and supervisory boards with the implementation of regulatory requirements. She is experienced in the design, preparation and approval of securities prospectuses as well as in the preparation of the related issuance documentation. In her role as a Compliance Officer, she advised the PwC Risk Council on dealing with the EU’s sanctions against Russia as well as the prevention of money laundering. Mariya also completed a strategic secondment to a leading globally active investment firm where she advised the Legal and Compliance departments on all aspects of capital markets compliance.
