Kathrin Averwald is an expert in data protection law with many years of professional experience. She manages complex transformation and implementation projects, particularly in the context of the GDPR, for national and international corporate groups. She provides comprehensive advice on data protection law issues and at the interfaces with IT, competition, and copyright law. Her work focuses on corporate data protection organizations, advising on digitization strategies, implementing consent management systems, and using data subject management (DSM) software. Kathrin is certified by TÜV Nord as an external data protection officer and is also CIPP/E. Against this background, she has also been acting as an external data protection officer for companies for many years, particularly in groups of companies for a large number of group companies. In addition to her in-depth expertise in OneTrust, she is responsible for the PwC Data Protection Manager, which is used productively in numerous mandates.
