PwC advises Fr. Meyer's Sohn on the acquisition of Norwegian logistics company Front Shipping

An international and multidisciplinary team from PricewaterhouseCoopers AG Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft (PwC Legal) and other advisors from the PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) network has advised Fr. Meyer's Sohn (GmbH & Co.) KG (FMS) on the acquisition of the Norwegian logistics company Front Shipping AS (Front Shipping).

PwC Legal provided comprehensive legal advice to FMS, particularly in relation to the due diligence as well as the drafting, negotiation and execution of the share purchase agreement and further transaction documentation. FMS was advised on tax matters by Advokatfirmaet PricewaterhouseCoopers AS (PwC Norway).

FMS is a family-owned, globally operating freight forwarding company. Since 1897, its service portfolio has encompassed tailored client solutions across all modes of transport as well as supply chain optimization. More than 1,300 transport and logistics specialists in over 35 countries are dedicated to meeting the needs of their clients. In addition, FMS deploys market-leading digital technologies to enhance the long-term value of supply chains.

Front Shipping has established an outstanding reputation in the Norwegian market, particularly in project logistics and container transport solutions. Combined with FMS's global network, this expertise will further strengthen the company's ability to support clients with complex international logistics projects.

Following the acquisition of a Swedish logistics company, the integration of Front Shipping represents the next important step in building a strong FMS platform in Scandinavia.
